Friday, October 10th, 2008One of the newest and raddest nights in LA, Replica is about to get it’s ass handed to it, when our very own Anne Lee comes to destroy the new 80s night with her partyness– Oh and I quote, directly from Replica’s e-flyer:
This time around, we get a very special DJ set by Party Captain ANNE LEE!! Expect to find yourself waking up in strange places the following morning when she shows up to your parties.

Seriously, believe it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve woken up in weird places after I get taken out by the hurricane. In wet bathing suits, behind couches, with plates of macaroni and cheese, in back yards and bushes… phew. So come dance to some 80s music because you know you love to wear legwarmers and hypercolor.

Thursday, October 9th, 2008One of our previous blow up dj’s and favorite party people, Designer Drugs just released another awesome remix today. This one in particular is incredibly dear to my heart because it is a new take on one of my favorite all time tracks, from one of my favorite bands, IAMX. I’ve always been somewhat of a goth/industrial girl my entire life, and really, Chris Corner (who is IAMX and also Sneaker Pimps) should probably just marry me already;) I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Keep your eyes peeled and your ipods rockin’ because iheartcomix will be putting out their new single Zombies just in time for Halloween, on October 28th. Hopefully they will grace our presence at blow up once again before the year is over. And they better play the IAMX remix or I will be quite sad, rather fitting for a goth girl don’t you think?;)

Thursday, October 9th, 2008I can’t tell you the full line up just yet, but I will say that we will have Krames entertaining us at our next Blow Up LA! And the location…….probably one of the best we have ever had. Party under the 4th street bridge anyone? Oh hellz yeah!
Also, we have a special treat for our 18+ crowd in the photobooth this month. Tommy B has been capturing the 21+ nights beautifully these last few months. He has taken over as PYT resident photographer, as well as various other nights around LA, including Tuesday nights at the room. Some of my absolute favorite portraits of myself were captured with his camera, and we are very lucky that he’s going to work his magic at blow up. We are all in for a HUGE treat:)
