New 2 year anniversary shirts are coming, as well. And some other special goodies like cute 70s gym shorts like this, but they’ll be silk screened with special Blow Up LA anniversary stuff! (and not just a sticker on my shorts;)

For the first time, we will be having live art at Blow Up LA, a special gift to us from the $tatus faction. You may be wondering who these guys are, but if you are out and about around Los Angeles, you are sure to find some of their work. T$F is a collective of artists who do it all. From painting, graphic design, wheat pastes, graffiti, illustrations, to dodgeball (an uphigh downlow dodgeball league underdog fave!) they do it all. Most recently, they worked with Mr. Brainwash on his massive art installation at the former CBS studios. Some of the art in the show was actually theirs! I’m not sure what the live art at blow up LA will consist of, but knowing what they can do, it’s going to be bad ass.

I didn’t get to see much of their set, since I was working the door, but here’s a video I came across on youtube of Classixx. Tyler says it’s the beginning of their set and they weren’t really set up or rockin’ yet, but he’s just being modest. They rule. We love them, and you do too.

We have been celebrating a lot of birthdays this summer at Blow Up LA, however the most important one is happening this August– our own! Yes, we are turning 2 fabulous years old. Ok, we actually turned 2 in June, but this party was too big to rush so it’s happening August 16th. Coincidentally, it’s also my birthday explosion party too, which is why I’m celebrating with champagne on the flyer. We love champagne here at Blow Up LA!

This is going to be an extra special Blow Up with a lot of surprises in store. In addition to the photobooth from Polite in Public, renowned LA street artist crew, the $tatus faction will be doing a massive live painting, and Local Tourist will have a special Blow Up LA Anniversary Edition shirt for you to snatch up. We’ll be featuring performances from some live bands, bringing back our classic Blow Up LA favorites, and some new additions to our roster of talent. While the full line up has not been released yet, you can see our teaser flyer here:

See, it’s our birthday but you guys get all the presents!

Blow up is going to be rad this month.
